Guayusa tincture 50 ml – Ilex Guayusa – Supplement.
Known as the ” Lucid dreaming tea” in the western world, Ilex guayusa is a species of tree of the holly genus, native to the Amazon Rainforest. A tall tree native to the upper Amazonian regions of Ecuador, northeastern Peru, and southwestern Colombia, between 200–2000 meters of elevation.
This Amazonian super-leaf naturally packed with caffeine and polyphenols, so it provides a clean, focused energy. There are low tannins in guayusa, so it lacks the astringent, bitter taste sometimes associated with green and black teas. Instead, it tastes smooth and naturally sweet. One of three known caffeinated holly trees, the leaves of the guayusa tree are dried and brewed like a tea for their stimulative and medicinal effects. Today also available in tincture form.
In addition to drinking cups of guayusa like many people drink coffee, indigenous hunters drink guayusa to sharpen their instincts and call it the “Night Watchman” because it helps them stay alert and awake all night without any negative effects like coffee, and that offers a boost of natural, focused energy.
Guayusa yields xanthines (caffeine). Other holly species with significant caffeine content are Ilex paraguariensis, or yerba mate, and Ilex vomitoria, or yaupon holly.
In addition to caffeine, guayusa also contains flavonoids, theobromine, commonly found in chocolate, and L-theanine [ relaxtion without sedation] a glutamic acid analog also found in green tea.
Researchers believe this suggests dandelion could protect against oxidative stress related to certain circulatory disorders. Research results showed that dandelion positively affected antioxidant enzyme activities and lipid profiles. Studies also show that dandelion boosts immune function and fights off microbes and fungi.
